Granted, we are open to trying new things, but there exist a choice amount of staple drinks that we find most enjoyable. Normally I would refrain from generalization, but I find these trends hold true a significant amount of the time. It goes without saying that we gays are notorious for partying until the asscrack of dawn. For example, in Philadelphia the last club closes around 4am, and even that is often not enough to satisfy our needs. How do we do it?

Some say all it takes is a name ending in "rita" or "tini," while others specify the inclusion of chopped fruit and fanciful decorations. For the purposes of this experiment, the designation and selection of gay drinks has been left to professionals--real live bartenders in real live gay bars. Will an evening spent downing "gay drinks" in gay bars inspire "Sandeep" to convert to homosexuality, however fleetingly? Indelicately euphemized as a "wrinkle room," Thumpers appeals largely to gay elders, boasting not only a full-service bar, but also an upscale dining room and performances by jazz pianists. The subject's first "gay drink" of the night was a Grape Nehi 2 oz vodka, 2 oz raspberry liqueur, lemon, blended with ice , given an extra splash of gay by our accommodating bartender, who crowned the drink with a spear of maraschino cherries and a paper umbrella.
I'm thinking about organising gay drinks in Zurich in the next month or so. This would be for gay members to meet other gay members though anyone is welcome. I think it would be a great way to meet some more people and expand our social circle. First I wanted to get some idea if this would be of interest to a few members? Last edited by amaxwell;
